New York

I’m always looking for a certain quietness in settings like crowded metropoles and capturing it through photography is a way of reflecting something by hiding it.
Something that doesn’t seem quite right in a photograph makes it the most interesting.

The analogue techniques used, not only support but also reinforce the contradicting approach to the setting and the limited amount of negatives results in a careful and elaborate way of composing an image.
The reveal of the film after developing and digitalising it a few weeks in, is always a magic experience.
