Metropoles like New York seem like slumbering monsters in which an overwhelming amount of microorganisms are bustling about.
In crowded settings like these I’m always on the lookout for a certain quietness and moments where things don’t seem quite right.
The analogue technique used, not only supports but also reinforces the contradicting approach to the setting. It is a slow process with a limited amount of tries and only weeks later are the developed images being revealed and the captured moments exposed.
