«Nostalgie»
In search of a paradise that escapes utopia, this work delves into the elusive world of childhood memories and poses the question of reality and construct.
Photographic fragments from old photo albums are recompositioned and reexposed on polaroid to form new webs of meaning
and approach the images which are evoked in us by thinking back to happy
childhood moments.
To what extent our memory only skillfully replicates something
what we think we know, is beyond any answer.
Just as much as we maybe should rethink the trust we place in the veracity of an image.
